I am a mother, I figured out how to have babies after the fourth one came along and I had four kids under 5...Oh shit is right.
I have had an income provided by my spouse of 102,000 a year...Untill, we moved to TX. where the grass was suppose to be greener but it was brown, dead and crunchy. Big mistake.
I am writing this blog because I thought I might help other mom's who are experiencing complete poverty by anothers doing, and help them get by as I have. Flat broke busted...Four kids, a husband with no job surving on $800.00 a month for the past 6 months.....Gray hair, no fake nails, no pedicure, no gas, no food, just beans rice and vegies...no gym memberships, no nice car, no private schools, no shopping selling everything you have just to make a buck. That is me. I would like to tell you how I got here, but I think I will blog my way out of poverty.
Here is the story first...
I do have a wonderful husband, my best friend, the love of my life my only partner.
I will never marry anyone ever other than him.
We met, had four children by the time we were thirty, he climbed the corporate ladder, I stayed home with kids, and pushed for more as he climbed. We bought a house; I borrowed 70,000 from my mothers HELOC to purchase we made the payments and then I thought I would be smart and refi, we took out a total of 100000.00 and put in a yard and a front yard and bought a a bunch of crap that i am now selling at a garage sale. Anyway, our payment grew; we decided to take a job in TX and rent out our house because I couldn't bare to sell it for 560,000.oo dollars in 2006 (dumb shit i am). We moved to Tx. kept our house got behind on all payments and moved home 9months latter. My husband had to quit his carrier to move home...
Home and broke I decided to sign my husband up for ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A FIFTH GRADER...He got on, he won 100,000.00. I paid off 70,000 dollars in debt and then he lost his job. the money I had saved to pay the taxes we lived off of during his lay off...
Now we ow the IRS 25,000.00 He finally landed a job, he worked for a real hard boss and then he was fired....I can't say why.
My husband went from making 7k a month to nothing and no unemployment because he was fired.
I went to work as a gymnastics coach for pre-schoolers and a waitress, and a banquet server because he couldn't find work....
Now here I am...I have made some progress.
That is how I got here...Now I am going to blog my way out of this mess.
I live in a home about to forclose, my credit score is 530, I have no insurance, no retirement, no life insurance so secure residence, no savings, I have exactly 24.00 to my name and it is commited to the water bill. I am out of gas in my car, and school starts for my four children on Friday.
Today I have food, today I still have internet, I have no phone, no cable.
I am officially up to my ass in Aligators.
I am the new Broke American.
